Chris Sheppard, CPCU, AFSB, CRIS, PWCA is responsible for developing and growing Gallagher’s Construction book of business and is their resource in establishing best practices and risk strategies for Gallagher’s construction clients. Chris was one of the former owners of Smith Buckley & Hunt Insurance, before their acquisition by Eastern Insurance in June 2014. He started in the business in 1990 with Liberty Mutual Insurance, based in Providence and Hartford, CT. His sole focus is, and has been, working with contractors on handling their risk management needs.
Chris is a graduate of Syracuse University, with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Fidelity & Surety Bonding (AFSB), Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) and the Professional Workers Compensation Advisor (PWCA) designations.
